Aniseed Fennel Mushroom

Well we think that's what it is. Identification can be very difficult at the best of times and in this case the books couldn't even agree as to its suitability for human ingestion. One tome said it was a No No while the other told us we could use it as a flavouring. 
I gave it flying lessons. It was last seen sailing through the air and going into orbit somewhere near our front garden.
