Decay

These thistles have done their job. They have bloomed and treated us with a stunning purple display and now it’s time to rest, to put all the energy into the seeds which will fly away and take root elsewhere, and so the cycle begins again.
Had another lovely ‘cold swim’ today and think I might have found a swim buddy!!!
