Egypt- drawing with honey
Decided to blip one of my latest drawings inspired by recent visit to the British Museum’s Egyptian section in London.
This one is done with honey ( with a little help from artificial intelligence ) reflecting the role honey played in the lives of ancient Egypt where it was revered for its special qualities.
They cherished honey so much, jars of the liquid gold were buried with deceased royalty to give them a sweet transition into the afterlife. Among wine, jewelry and weapons, honey was also valuable enough to be stashed in King Tut's golden tomb—still edible after 3,000 long years.
Now I have a new respect for that jar of honey in the kitchen cupboard.
