Aveiro

We took a train to Aveiro this morning. It is described as the Venice of Portugal. We obviously did the touristy thing of going for a sail on the canal in one of the traditional boats.

Collage: one of the traditional dishes of Porto- https://foodandroad.com/francesinha-porto/ Mr CFJ had this for lunch and although it looks absolutely horrendous, he said it tasted lovely. I didn’t try it:)

Another traditional dish is tripe- but you don’t expect to have it with Nutella or ice cream instead of a waffle or crepe…. I didn’t try it.

Another creepy doll- complete with machine gun!
