A Day in the Country

Well, not exactly a day but a couple of hours at the local agricultural show. After yesterday's rain the field was extremely muddy and fortunately we were there in the morning before the pipe band and the crowds arrived. I tried my hand at milking a dummy cow and was pretty successful at it.

It is surprising to think that there are now more horses than there have been for many years. When I was young, tractors were replacing these Clydesdales for heavy farm work but now they are collector's items.
