Evening out/ day off

Every time (and I have checked) that I have dared to take a day off work to attend to important matters, my plans have been scuppered!!!

Today I needed to sort out some stuff re: my mum and her treatment, and I squeezed in a haircut too. Then my neighbour invited me to the pub for a drink…

I had my haircut, but received a message on the way there to say that Noo had a headache and needed to be picked up from school. At 9.05 am!! Grrrr! He was dragged to the Dr (a miracle to get an appointment) who obviously thought that the appointment was a waste of her time. I took him back to school!

I’m not ever going to put my days off on the calendar…..or even think about them! Never!
