Studs

For football boots - and the sort of thing you find on our kitchen table.
Needed to be replaced for tomorrow's game.

I'd been putting it off as it required a visiting to the "anti-shop" Sports Direct where they make it as hard as possible to buy anything.

Reasons being:
a) not enough staff
b) who are knowledgeable
c) who are over the age of 16
d) who look very interested in the job

So, the dreaded visit was a disaster since the replacement studs they had didn't look anything like these. This time the (surprisingly helpful/knowledgeable) person who I managed to spot amongst the clothes rails & collar told me I'd have to order directly from adidas.

Not much use for tomorrow then and with only another 3 games left this season - a very frustrating outcome.
