Watch the birdie!

We have blackbirds nesting in our hedge and although I haven't been able to see the actual nest, it's been fascinating watching the parents' behaviour. Often, one seems to be standing guard while the other goes to find food. I'm sure I heard some chicks the other day, too.

Although this shot is terrible quality (despite my best efforts to tweak it!), I was thrilled to catch 'my' daddy blackbird making sure the coast was clear before he returned to the nest with dinner.
