A Day in Bristol
Another full on day where we fitted in so much. Fortunately the rain did not continue when we went out. Belinda was our tour guide supreme again.
We visited the Old Library near by, and were allowed upstairs to take some photographs.
Very fortunate. The centre bottom picture, is the ceiling as you walk into the building.
Beautiful teal coloured mosaics, with gold.
A real treasure was The Lord Mayor's Chapel, it is the only one in England belonging to a Lord Mayor. It had so many interesting nicks and cranies in it, but it is impossible to show everything here. The image I have shown, is in the bottom right corner. A pair of unicorns on the end of the pew, and I loved the way the sun came through the stain glass windows and hit the wall behind. Once more you have to look at this in Large to appreciate everything.
We had a trip around the harbour to see all the sights, and the coloured houses on the hill, look fantastic from the Ferry.
We photographed graffiti, which is in many areas of Bristol, and are pieces of Art. This is Alice's speciality, so you may like to look at her Blip to see more graffiti.
I thought the Panda Bear with a seal in his boat was pretty cute.
We looked in shop windows and I saw this old style mirror which was picking up Michael Bouglais from a poster across the street.
Finally the photo of the girl with her dog was taken when we were walking down a street with a Market which had food to eat, goods to sell, and singing. It was jam packed with people. They were all enjoying the outing and the sun.
It had quite a festive feel about it, but I would not have liked to be a dog on the ground, and that is why the girl is carrying her pet. I particularly liked her happy face, and the movement with it.
Exhausted again, so no more writing.
