Relaxing in Portofino ………..
 
Actually, Rose, B, K and I,  (old coalface friends) have spent a lovely day in Shrewsbury, dodging the rain showers, window shopping and enjoying a long and delicious lunch at ‘Lalanterna’,  a small Italian Restaurant in the old Vestry at the back of St. Julian’s Church in the middle of town.  


Then back on the park ‘n’ ride and K drove us back to her house where we sat in her sunroom in the late afternoon sunshine, more chat, and to keep the Italian theme going,  we sipped Italian style Coffees.  


In the sunroom Rose is sitting beside this mural of Portofino painted by K’s Niece..  K having spent a wonderful holiday there told us she commissioned her Niece, then 13, to do it but in 2022 it’s still not finished, now Niece is 34 years old, has two children of her own so still hasn’t received her commission!
