Opportunity Knocks

Living in the country throws up many opportunities to see and photograph things that just don't seem to occur in the busy city. 

I have noticed when out and about that many houses have decorations on their front doors. It's rather a nice idea, and I couldn't resist this beautiful arrangement set against a regal red door and an unusual pear-shaped knocker.

I will refrain from inappropriate comment about pear-shaped knockers, that would be childish.

Watching Gardner's World, Monty Don has had a new puppy. 10 week old retriever called Ned. Great fun watching the pup following him around the garden, chewing beans and digging holes in the borders.
