Dodging the showers

Planning a visit across the Pennines tomorrow so based ourselves at home. Fortunately the heavy lunchtime shower passed over before we took Jet for a walk.

The woods were damp although the autumn leaves added a bit of colour to these gnarly roots. By the time we got back Matthew our middle son had arrived home. He is out at an end of season cricket dinner this evening before looking after Jet until Sunday. So it was good to catch up with him this afternoon.

No sooner had he set off youngest son Thomas arrived. He is playing rugby for Sheffield 2nd XV against Driffield tomorrow. Driffield are old adversaries from his days playing for Malton. Unfortunately we won’t be able to watch. However it was good to catch up after he has started his last year of his MEng at Sheffield University. In his down time he is assisting his girlfriend renovating her newly acquired house.

Not sure of internet connections tomorrow so it maybe Sunday before I can catch up. Enjoy your weekend wherever you maybe.
