Carnations

We need flowers to forget the many troubles of the world. 
Today I read about the harrowing journey many people from Venezuela have gone through, if they survived, in order to get here, crossing the perilous land bridge known as the Darién Gap, "a 66-mile stretch of jungle terrain that connects South and Central America," while carrying infants, and without any food or tools.
It is a terrible thing to have to do that.
