Lunchtime Mind Candy...
What happened to the nasty weather we were meant to get? I'm not complaining but weather forecasts were foreboding awful rain all week.
I thought I should take advantage and get a wee saunter in at lunchtime. I was so glad I did as I ran into a few wee interesting slices of life.
o I came across this view of the castle which was more imposing in the flesh than it does in my representation here.
o I ran into Big Issue Martin but alas had no hard currency as usual to purchase his product. He is a happy chappy and is always smiling.
o Had a wee walk through the tremendously complicated looks organisation of some filming that was going on at the leisure centre at the back of the Caledonian Hotel. It is ridiculous the amount of crew and equiment that goes into what will probably turn out to be about 30 seconds worth of footage on what looks like some sort of drama.
o Second lastly but lastly on my list here as I wanted to keep the best till last, I saw what I can only describe as the most feeble collection of humans to ever assemble as a family. I was waiting to cross the road and there was a wee car/van bumping accident that had nothing to do with the mentioned family walking across the road during the Red Man light. The kid of about 10 started swearing at the vehicles involved even though he had nothing to do with it. The mother(I use the term loosely) was pregnant and smoking. The father (again, loose description) nursing a can of Tennents. All strutting about Edinburgh during a weekday thus pretty safe to assume not in gainful employment. I find these type of persons interesting but probably because they are so different from me and my life.
Anyway, a braw wee walk with plenty of mind candy.
