Riverworks…..

Contractors have recently been busy moving thousands of tons of shingle from the riverbed of the Taylor River near Doctors Creek. The shingle was washed down from upstream during the large floods earlier this year. Here Maisie is checking out the differing river environment.
Local Government Elections results were announced today. Marlborough has a new Mayor. Nadine Taylor. (Our second woman Mayor….. I was the first woman Mayor elected way back in 1995). Yay for Mayor Nadine. She will be brilliant.
