109 Years

I walk Paddy in Falmouth Cemetery most days and part of the route is alongside a plot of twenty-three WWI graves, known by us as “The Lads”, it is where Paddy first “freestyled”, (went off his lead).
Because I see them most days I guess I subconsciously remember some of the dates so I knew that today was the anniversary of the death of one of these young men. We don’t have his age but the date of his death might indicate that he was killed at the Battle of Arras.
No matter about the lack of details, we remember them all.

In the evening I attended the AGM of my local Royal British Legion branch, went ok as you would expect. Had an enjoyable catch up with the Branch Chairman who is also a friend and fellow RN Veteran.

The end of year/Christmas function invites are coming in thick and fast, could be an expensive closure to the year.
