Nuts….

lot’s lying under the trees just now and gone are the days when lads foraged for games of conkers - we called it chessies in Perthshire.
So, apart from being munched by sheep or the odd deer, squirrels tend not to eat chestnuts and much prefer acorns, there are heaps of chessies now left to seed or rot.
