Haworth Steam Punk
Luckily it was a bright and sunny day again for the Haworth Steam Punk event, think yesterday was a bit wetter.
We were there to sing with the ATN choir, our last non Christmas sing of the year.
They moved us off the Main Street this year due to some traffic issues caused by our big group. We were outside the village hall where there was food and other things going on. Didn’t think it would be as good but it was OK. We followed a drum group which we could hear right across the village when we arrived.
In the thumbnail (top right) are some of our lovely singing ladies with sometime blipper rose54 in the middle who together, with V on the left, are also Thursday walkers.
After we had finished our set of songs we headed up the Main St to see what was happening. We had a drink at the Black Bull and the group on the left were posing alongside the pub at the foot of the church steps.
If you’ve never been to something like this it’s fair to say that you see all sorts. Very eclectic costumes and machines and I noticed a lot of animated accessories like the skeleton the lady in red tartan is holding. Some look the height of elegance and others just plain weird!
All great fun!
We passed Wilsden Walker on our way over Brow Moor and offered her a lift. She declined as she was enjoying her walk and was in our audience later. She may well put something on blip from the same event.
Tickets for the village players production tonight, ‘Hi de Hi’ a busy Saturday two lots of washing done and dried too.
