Bridges and boats

Gordon was working. We went out for a big walk, the usual one, but we took our time, stopping to collect sticks, throwing them over the first bridge, climbing up different parts of the big hill, swinging on the big gate, stopping for crisps and juice and biscuits, watching the sheep being herded by a little buggy thing and a (slightly overweight looking (!)) collie, heading back down the other side and then stopping again to collect many items to transform into boats, crossing the wee burn carefully on stepping stones (no one fell in!), launching the boats ....Noah's sank immediately (mast too heavy I think), but we kind of fixed it, and the girls one sailed away with style and grace. Then we spent a long time at the river, throwing stones and building things. Lovely.
