Unwanted guest
When drawing the curtains last night A commented that there was a tag on the curtain, I looked at it a little suspiciously but decided it was safe to leave till this morning. As you can see, the little tag turns out to be the beginning of a wasps byke. It was very securely attached, but thankfully was abandoned in the early stages of construction. You can see the honeycomb of hexagons beginning at the top. It has now been removed just in case any wasps decided to reignite their interest.
I came back via the A1 today and made good time until I tried to drive across Edinburgh rather than facing the queues on the bypass. So many road closures make it impossible to plan a route. 45 minutes from Milton Road to Blackhall.
Ali popped round with Josie who is a little under the weather today. Our paediatrician had a look and gave them some advice, a very useful person to have in the family.
We finally watched the last episode of Shetland, rather a damp squib I thought. (How does Tosh do that with her mouth). New season next year so we'll see how that goes.
I realised we've missed the first episodes of Bloodlands which I think we enjoyed last year, luckily it's available on catch up.
My extra is two baked Bramleys from one of A's trees, which we had for dinner, a fair swap for a jar of marmalade and half a dozen beans.
