A Thompson Bro

That was a day to remember.

An hour in the old fire station, now the Dornoch Distillery with Phil Thompson then a few hours in the warehouse sipping some incredible drams. In between discussing the plans the brothers have for the next phase of the business.

The afternoon power nap was undermined somewhat by the wedding DJ and band doing a sound check outside my window but, undeterred, I powered through an evening of great food and delicious drams, all distilled in the 1960’s. More than that, there was a great discussion around the table and lots of stories and anecdotes.

Back at the Dornoch Castle there was more drammage and some conversation about future wedding plans, bagpiper requirements and likely dates.
