Lovely autumn morning
We got to bed at about 1am, after a great night celebrating Neil's 60th birthday. I didn't fall off my heels, but boy are my feet suffering today, after a couple of hours dancing in them. Thank you Neil and Karen for inviting us to this special occasion. We really enjoyed ourselves, and look forward to a time when you can come and visit us in sleepy North Norfolk!
We both slept well, not waking until gone 8.30 this morning. It seems we find it easier to relax when we are away. Once we were up, it was a case of breakfast and packing away. We were on the road shortly after 10, stopping at a petrol station to get air in the caravan tyres, before heading home.
A coffee stop in a lay-by on the A5, followed by lunch in a lay-by just past Kettering. We could make a map of our favourite lay-bys!
We got back at about 4.30 and Mollie had prepared a fresh lasagne for dinner, together with squash chips (made from the 2nd squash I grew). We emptied the caravan and have been getting a few bits together for next weekend, when we are away again. 2 loads of washing put in, which I hope to hang on the line tomorrow.
Now catching up on this week's Doc Martin. Work tomorrow....but another 3 day week, so not all bad!
