The Mayerling

 
Not for the first time I marvel at the facilities, thanks to modern technology, on our doorstep in Bridge of Allan, a small town in the middle of Scotland.
 
 
Within a five-minute drive of our home we are ensconced in a modern theatre enjoying a breathtaking performance from The Royal Opera House of  The Mayerling, live streamed from London. Our seats cost £15. In London the equivalent would be around £134.
 
Sadly there were only 22 people in the audience at the Macrobert arts centre for this event.
 
Why? Poor publicity (mentioned it to several friends who had no idea it was on and promptly bought tickets) must be top of the list.
