Freedom From Fear
"Ours...to Fight For Freedom From Fear"
The poignant image of parents tucking their children into bed, the powerful icon used in this poster to remind us what is worth fighting for...so that our little ones may lay their heads on their pillows, free from fear. Powerful.
This poster seen, and photographed with difficulty among the stream of visitors for the evening of the "Wine Walk" in downtown Coos Bay, on the wall of the Blue Heron Bistro, one of Coos Bay's finest dining experiences. The Building itself is fantastic, the posters on the wall have gone from old war bond posters to, currently a variety of "Post" magazine covers with the beauty and messageNorman Rockwell paintings.
The atmosphere was fun and the food, fantastic as the crowd wandered in and out for their samples of German quisine. I indulged in a huge plate of Goulash and Spaetzle (plenty left over), while my Contraptioneer date enjoyed a huge plate of fried oysters and mashed potatoes. Yay him...he had left overs too!
Our date night was complete with a play at Marshfield High School...Oscar Wilde's "The Importance of Being Earnest". Wonderful acting, and beautiful costuming!
