A witch in the woods?'

When Alexander got home from work we decided to take a walk down into Greenfield to get something to eat. Taking a slight detour, I was lead past the charred remains of this building that Alex discovered & explored yesterday.

Mystery surrounds it.
What was it? It's purpose? When was it last in use? When did it become victim to the flames? And how? Who did it belong to? Was it a home or utility building? Why has it just been left here to let mature reclaim the land..!

It reminds me of a derelict Gingerbread House that might feature in a less fanciful tale of Hansel & Gretel & that gives me another reason to like it....
