Ingenious
Some time go, but certainly after we'd been together for a while, the Minx and I discovered that we're both up for an early start when making a journey. Not crazy early, but you know, say six o'clock.
Which is what time we got up this morning for our journey home. We had a deadline - the Minx had a Teams meeting at one o'clock - but that was quite comfortable, as long as we took the quick route home, going down the A9.
Thing is, Scotland being as beautiful as it is, even taking a main road is still a terrific experience, and definitely significantly better than the dowdy M40 or A14.
We even had time to stop off and grab some breakfast in Pitlochry, where I saw this marvellous, operational water wheel. I always think that these are a brilliant early example of 'renewables', a testament to man's ingenuity.
