Mossy Tales

My mom always said that the length of the moss will determine how hard the winter will be. The moss that is over by the bay on our trees is very long this year. Seeing this little bit of moss next to leaves preparing for fall, as I went to my car at work, made me think of how regularly she used to comment on the moss, and wonder what she would say today.
