Grateful

I wear glasses to help me see well.

A much loved friend has had to go through a few eye operations recently. Fortunately they have gone reasonably well and she can see for now.
However there are no guarantees of how long these will last and she faces the prospect of not seeing so well at a relatively early age.

How much do we take things like our senses for granted. We moan about trivia while others face life changing situations.
I moan about driving through rush hour when my friend would gladly face rush hour rather than not have a job.

I think I need to appreciate so much more of what I have.

I am very privileged in my friendships and I have amazing friends who teach me so much. For that I am exceptionally grateful.
