Regional Day

This year, the Day of the Valencian Community fell on a Sunday. This meant that – disappointingly for most of them – employees didn't benefit from an extra day off work. Most self-employed/freelance workers miss out on that nicety, of course. Nonetheless, some participants lit fires on the road tarmac (to cook paellas) and jigged around a bit, as you'll notice from the photograph I took around midday. Locals told me that this rendition wasn't much unlike what one might expect to see in Aragon, further north.

Does the above tone sound a bit ironic?!
