salt piglet

A replacement for the one I broke a couple of weeks ago. It was a lovely blue and beige striped cat and we’d had it for many years - in fact we brought it from our last house so well over 20 years. It had a little wooden spoon inside it and it just caught my cuff as I was moving a plate. At the dinner table everyone used to say ‘pass the cat’ if they wanted salt. This one was described as a salt pig but having seen some big ones we’ve decided this is a piglet. It’s going to take some getting used to….
