Mdina - The Silent City

We took the bus to Valletta and then another bus to Mdina. We have been many times before and it’s a place we love to visit. This time we bought tickets to visit inside the Cathedral. In the past there was always a wedding or baptism going on so we finally saw inside. See extra for the outside of the cathedral. The other extra is one of the side streets inside the walled city. The third extra is the view from the cafe Fontanella where we had lunch and if you look large you can see the sea with large container boats going through to the port.
On the way back in valletta we saw bats flying over the top of the city buildings. Amazing. I tried to take a video which was rather difficult as it was almost dark. Valetta at night another extra.
A lovely day out. I’m tired now.
