First smiles

This photo was taken after 10pm. One of us was not tired.

The other one got home from work after 8.30pm, having had a middle of the day diversion into the city to hang out with some corporate types 36 storeys up (great views!) for a few hours, and is very tired but also overcaffeinated and unable to sleep.

Had a chat with Joey on the way home, at almost exactly the same time that, on this day last year, she and S rang to tell us S’s cancer had relapsed.
