Norway number 1 stamp

issued First January 1855 this is Norway's first postage stamp...it is blue with a 12 line grid cancel and features the country's coat of arms the lion rampant..
in 1814 Denmark ceded Norway to Sweden and from 1814 to 1905 the King of Sweden was also King of Norway ...
from 1856 until 1859 the head of King Oscar 1 featured on the second four Norwegian stamps...
