Over the motorway

Another busy day at work - I don't know how I ever got anything done going into the office five days a week.  Being in the office is great as you get to catch up with people and have meetings and resolve things, but you spend a lot of time talking and not a lot of time doing!

I was heading home  on the bus tonight and decided to leave at my shift end and walk to Hamilton to try and catch an earlier bus rather than hang around for the later bus in Motherwell.  It was a lovely evening and was great to stretch my legs, and also the right call as there was an accident on the big road between the two towns meaning that the bus would have been very late.

Between Hamilton and Motherwell there's some pedestrian bridges which take you over the many off and on ramps onto the motorway.  I was rather rushing for the bus but stopped for a few seconds as you can't really tell that this is a path going over a large motorway, and the light was looking pretty through the trees.

I made it to the bus stop late, but thankfully the bus was late also, and I saw it coming round the roundabout which spurred me to a rather embarrassing mini jog that didn't last for long (I'm a rubbish runner, especially with a full rucksack and in work gear). Very much enjoyed looking at the evening light on the fields on the way home.  Listened to a great podcast from Sinica where they were interviewing Carrie Gracie which I would highly recommend. Now to make some food...
