Cheesecake is the Reward

This looks by far the tastier of the two blips I took today. It was the cake reward for our book group discussion this afternoon, the book in question being ‘The Fair Botanists’ by Sara Sheridan. It’s a novel set around the installation in 1822 of the Botanical Gardens in the Inverleith district of Edinburgh. While we did do it justice in discussion, we spent considerable more time post cake on general chit chat.
There was a time when the latter would have been unthinkable, so limited was our available free time away from growing families. Most of us now have ample time to spare.
