Walk on by?
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. In Cambridge's Grand Arcade there's a travelling exhibition promoting awareness of secondary breast cancer with these seemingly fragile figures that also offer access via QR codes to personal stories. It's a clever use of the space and shows viscerally just how many people are affected - in 2019 one in seven women were diagnosed with primary BC. So don't walk on by, please.
You can schedule a monthly text reminder to check your chest from CoppaFeel https://coppafeel.org/remind-me/
And men, this means you too.
I had my own treatment for primary BC in 2019 and it's a brutal experience I never want to go through again.
