An ordinary life....

Mutual admiration society...

Andrew polished off another mountain of French toast this morning.  Honestly, I would rather keep his photo than him!  lol

He headed out with Alan and Ashleigh just after midday after saying his cheerios to David, who was going to play golf and wouldn't be back before Andrew headed off later in the afternoon.  But fear not, he made sure David had dates in the diary for his next visit (6th - 8th December I believe :-)

My best friend Agnes arrived at 1pm and we settled down to lunch.

A few weeks ago she was invited (out of the blue) to apply for a job within her office which represented a promotion for her if she was successful.  She was a bit taken aback as she's only been in her current post since December last year and has only recently stopped feeling like the new girl.  She wasn't sure she even wanted to go for it but decided she had nothing to lose, so did.  Well she only went and got the job!  Clever girl!  I am over the moon for her,  and the hefty hike in her salary could not come at a better time, what with the cost of living crisis and her daughter getting married next year.  It's so lovely to get some good news for a change! :-))

Lola was very happy to see her (as ever) and wanted to sit on her knee!  Daft Lola still thinks she's a lap dog! Agnes finally persuaded her to sit on the sofa beside her instead.

After a great catch up Agnes headed home just before 5pm.  Andrew, Alan Ashleigh arrived back just in time for Agnes to see Alan, which was great as he would have been miffed if he'd missed her.

Andrew had a final snack then Jordan arrived and he and Alan took Andrew up to Dundee to meet up with Andrew's mum.  He took the rest of the Malteser rocky road with him (I sneaked a couple of pieces for Agnes and I to have with our cuppa :-)

David arrived back from the golf happy as he'd won again.  Just him and Keith this time (Keith being the one who missed the Spanish golfing trip due to covid)

Just completed my online Tesco order.  A large one this week since there will be 4 extra mouths to feed in the coming week.  S sent me an online Tesco gift card to put towards the cost of the shopping but the stupid thing is, it can't be used online and can only spent in store!  What's the point of that?!

Oh well, we'll just have to get our shopping in person one of these weeks.
