Exquisite, yet again

The Aviator does keep coming up trumps! Everything was wonderful - the pre-dinner cocktails; the trout sashimi with caviar and other stuff(!) for starters; the 900g T-bone Dave and I shared; this coconut mousse desert; the fantastic SuperTuscan red recommended by Alessandro, the restaurant manager who after 4 visits (for me at least) is starting to recognise us; the Maury red dessert wine; and the Moscato desert wine Alessandro gave us gratis! And as the perfect digestif, Liverpool scored 6 goals in the last half David and I will watch together in person for a while, to complete a 7-1 win over Rangers, putting us in a strong position to qualify for the knock out stages of the Champions League, despite our woeful start to the season.
A lovely denouement to the Clarkes' trip - tomorrow the hard work begins, as I pick the van up from Hereford...
