Cheers Liz...
......in blustery conditions verging on hurricane we ventured up Cnoc an t-Sean Eoin with Liz's ashes. With a wide vista of Eddrachillis Bay and back to Quinag, it was a favourite walking spot for Liz back in the day. With as much ash disappearing into the wind as was depositing into the cairn, I caught a fair amount in the face, but it's not a good funeral unless you end up wearing the deceased. After a toast of champagne and whisky, Moy and Nancy shared some with their mum.
Later, Liz's friends young and old from the village came over to the house for a short ceremony with the girls popping the remaining ashes in the ground and a 'lovely rhoddy' placed on top. A session of most excellent tea, sandwiches and cakes provided by Dawn at the hotel followed, before we abandoned the kids to their own devices and retreated to the hotel for drink and discourse in the Liz and Ken fashion.
