Pears

The little family came for dinner this evening. M made roast beaf and Yorkshire pudds, I made poached pears. There they are in the pic, halved, cut side down. I poached them in a red honey wine G gave us years ago, revolting to drink but it worked a treat on the pears. Another useless item gone from the pantry!
