Not to plan

It was such a beautiful start to the day I decided on a bike ride. As I cycled out of Pickering changed my mind on which route to ride. The roads were relatively quiet so decide to ride up from Wrelton towards Cawthorne. Definitely a pull up the escarpment but looked forward to the descent at the end,

However coming out of Newton on Rawcliffe I hit a pot hole just as I was building up a head of steam. It split the inner tube so had to ring Richard to rescue me. By the time I had fixed the problem that was the morning finished with.

This afternoon did the Thornton Dale to Ellerburn circular walk. What a delight in the sunshine. This was the view as we made the descent into Ellerburn valley. At least this went to plan!
