Took a while , but…

The saga of securing more primary places for Dunoon has been a long one.

When I was Education Secretary there was a vigorous debate about whether to build a single new school or improve existing schools. There were strong feelings on both sides and a Council in the middle reluctant to take a decision

In the end a compromise was found and a major extension of Dunoon Primary funded by the Scottish Government , whilst the existing smaller peripheral primaries remained open.
