The view from one of the jobs today.
We were working on a garden wall/edging for a client today, but ran out of bricks to use. I had a couple of other jobs to get done in the area, so I picked up some mulch to use at one job, finished that, then we decided to go and get some bulbs planted at another job. After we finished, Steph went for a quick swim and I took a couple of photos.
The homeowner at the last job was sporting a large bruise on his cheek. He has started using part of his house for an airbnb. On the weekend, the woman who had booked it never showed up, but she must have told some of her friends to go there. Eleven people in their early 20's showed up and proceeded to get drunk. When the homeowner went out to try and calm things down, one of the girls slugged him. He was on the phone with 911 when she did it. When she came at him a second time, he punched her back, so he cannot be charged, it was self defense. As a result, Airbnb paid him for the 3 nights that had been booked and the one who had originally booked it has been kicked off the airbnb site. The other guests he has had have given him good reviews. He may have learned to listen to his wife and get the police there before he goes out to intervene. He was also able to get them out before they did any damage,
