Seventy two years old!

Went to a bus rally today. Well doesn't everybody at Bank Holidays?

For those of you clammin' to know more here's the gen on DV7890

This 1931 Leyland Lion LT2 now with a 1947 Blackpool built Burlingham coach body was originally operated by Devon General as a bus with a 31 seat Park Royal body as fleet number 15.

In the 1970s it was preserved at the collection of the West of England Transport Collection at Winkleigh, before passing to East Yorkshire Motor Services Vintage Fleet in Hull. That concern sold it for scrap to North Eastern Bus Breakers in March 2002. The North East Bus Preservation Trust saved it from wrecking until resale to Snaith of Otterburn, Northumberland in 2003. It is now restored internally and externally, and is used on heritage hires.

It is the only existing example of this model, built between 1930 and 1932.
