Daisies

I’m digging up some white iris which have taken over this little garden bed. There is still a way to go as my back is telling me to stop. Stop. Now I can see the daisies which are so sweet. 

My latest trick is to kill the weeds with boiling water. When ever we have a cup of tea or coffee I take the left over water outside and pour on the weeds. I’m not liking all the pesticides and herbicides which are used so doing my small bit. It works well and I get a few steps in going in and out all day. Many would declare me crazy but that’s Ok. It doesn’t mean I never use the hard stuff but want to reduce where I can. 

Our son Bryan called in to borrow the trailer, not much else happened except I hear the UK has a new treasurer. That was almost as short at time in a job as a new football team CEO who only lasted a day. Interesting times.

There is lots of flooding in Victoria, Tasmania and NSW as we are in our third La Niña weather event. So far we are OK here. We haven’t had a lot of rain but the ground is very wet.
