Sun Street

Decided we'd have a bit of a quieter day today, as its Sunday, so Pete and I went for a walk down to Kasai Station to sus out the buses back to Narita and, of course, to have a morning coffee! No problem finding where the bus went from, but buying the ticket seemed a bit more problematical as no one seemed to do so.

So we took the bus to Funabori and met Andrew and Noriko, with Kio, for lunch. Prior to that Andrew took us into Family Mart, one of the numerous convenience stores scattered across Tokyo, and most of Japan, where he showed how to buy the Narita bus tickets using a self-service ticket selling machine, we would never have managed!

Lunch was at Denny's, a very pleasant restaurant chain with good food at reasonable prices.

We all then took off for Sun Street. A large complex, with outdoor market, various shops and restaurants, geared mainly for families and children. Noriko wanted a camera to take to Disneyland on Tuesday when Kio went on her school trip so we visited a large tech store and spent some time choosing one.

Kio then went on a miniature train ride followed by a trip to the soft play area where I did my grandparent duty and sat and watched, played with my phone actually, whilst the rest of the gang went off to the more adult section of the games area.

I didn't take many photos today and not sure what to blip, so I'll wait and see what turns up........decided on this one taken on the walk down from Andrew's apartment to Funabori Station. There's a small play area where Kio likes to stop at to have a quick go on the see-saw. So here she is with Noriko looking on, Pete is on the other end :-)
