The Hill House in a box

We have intended to visit The Hill House for some time to see it inside the metal “box” which has been erected to protect it and let  Mackintosh’s poorly selected cement roughcast exterior dry out. I’m so glad we finally did.

It was a fascinating visit with the opportunity to view the building from a unique perspective. Extras include the view across the Clyde estuary from the top and one of the famous light fittings inside.
