MEALS ON WHEELS

You know when you offer some help but you hope the recipient says no it’s ok! …..

Well that was last nights offer….

A new Ukrainian family have come over to stay with #our vicar and her partner. Unfortunately they had a really traumatic time trying to leave the Czech Republic as the board force said their papers weren’t correct. Lots of tears and early morning call and fighting language barriers…they were eventually allowed to board the plane.
In the meantime the vicarage had had a flood in the kitchen which meant a new floor and new appliances…some were delivered on time but very very damaged….result being they had no way of preparing a meal…hence my offer. As I was working it had to be a tescos lasagna and salad with prepared cheesecakes!!!
All received well…lots of laughter, lots of chatting in English and Ukrainian.
#They loved their gifts…an umbrella and scarf and a little bag for 9 year old girl.
Great evening had by all.
