Relay
Today I had a good day out at the British Fell Running Relay Championships with the Penicuik Harriers' "Pensioners" team (with a 38-y-o whippet on the last leg). I did the first leg, and was happy with how I ran, despite finishing 136th of 180. The others then steadily pulled us back up to 79th. Thankfully the weather was fine, and the views were attractive, so it was pleasant hanging around on the courses, waiting for our runners to come through and cheering on the others.
This photo sums up the day. My leg took me over the hills on the skyline, through the start area, and up this steep ascent, not that I had the fitness to run up, like this guy! There were some impressively fit folk there today!
