Not quite what I was after

I went back to the bluebell wood today, hoping for some autumn colour. As it happened the actual woodland was off limits due to a felling/coppicing operation. Some of the mature trees were starting to change colour, but they probably need another week or two.

However, much of the site is actually a tree nursery for native but local species and there were some flashes of glorious colour along the edges of the site.  I ended up playing around with abstract images: ICM for the main shot and PV for the extra.  That shot shows a silver birch which was catching the light quite extravagantly, but some of the shots had the main woodland in the background.
